MIKE G
Mike G, an emcee & actor, first came to attention of the New York City underground in 1993 when he came here from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He began his conquest by sitting in at open-mic sessions around the city. His Demo of Strictly Dago, won the demo contest on the Stretch Armstrong show hosted by Bobbito the Barber. Mike was also featured on the first season of HBO's OZ.
Mike G's live performances are not to be missed. He has the ability to rock any crowd, by the end of his set he'll have the hardrocks, the hustlers, the Club Kids and the house wife's all noddin their heads and singing chorus's. Mike G is currently touring with the Words Hip Hop & Poetry ensemble with Wordworth (MTV's Lyricist Lounge) and Flaco Navaja (Def Poetry).
Mike is also the Co-Founder and of the IPA's Battle Dome Beat Battle (Grand Championship Available on DVD) a competition for hip hop producers at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Mike is currently working his new album to be released in the summer of 2004.
